Mateo
Based in Brooklyn, New York, Mateo has established himself as a passionately unique DJ in the electronic music scene. His deep rooted love and knowledge of jazz, ambient tones, and multi-cultural ethnic sounds are illuminated in each of his sets, which most recently have been performed exclusively at events held by Akumandra. Mateo's career as a DJ started thriving in 2012 when he became a resident DJ of Autobrennt. Since then, he has played in many noteworthy venues in New York alongside major global acts. Mateo's distinct sound leans toward midtempo and gracefully infuses melancholic and multicultural selections of deep house and tribal sounds with soulful vocals and instruments.
He has solid plans for original production releases in the near future.
